Congratulations to Gonzalo on his first Syndicate victory! Gonzalo played seven events with us back in Season 10, then disappeared for the next six seasons. He resurfaced for a few events in Seasons 18 and 19, and now – in his fourth tournament of Season 20 – he’s picked up the win.
In second place was Keithy, who had Gonzalo on the ropes a couple of times during heads-up play. Each time, Gonzalo found a way to connect with the board and stay alive. It finally went in with A-8 versus A-7. Keithy was looking for a 7 or a high board for a chop, but Gonzalo’s 8 played.
In 3rd place was Greg Francisco, earning his best finish in the five events he’s played. Ranjit finished 4th for his second top-four result of the season. Right behind him was Jonkey in 5th place with his third top-five finish. Alan came in 6th, marking his fifth final table appearance. Matt G and Susan M finished 7th and 8th to round out our money winners.

The Leaderboard With his two wins in the first quarter of the season, Scotty N continues to hold on to first place. Robert sits in 2nd and moved a little closer after earning 15 points in Event 9. Alan and Jonkey are next in 3rd and 4th place, both climbing the leaderboard with strong finishes this week. Their rise bumped Tom L, Steve P, and Bob W down one spot each. Keithy also joined the guaranteed seat section with his 2nd-place finish in this event.
Next Up Our next event is Saturday, January 17th at 3:15 pm. This will be a regular deep-stack event with a 40k starting stack.
