Congratulations to Don Bisco for taking down Event 3 — our first Big Stacks tournament of the season!
When heads-up play began, Dana Mendel held a commanding 3-to-1 chip lead, but Don chipped away until the two finally got it all in on this hand:
After a flop of 2♠K♥10♥, both players checked. The 2♦ hit the turn, Dana checked again, Don bet, and Dana called. The river brought the J♣, and this time Dana shoved. Don snap-called and announced, “I have a boat,” as he tabled J♠ 2♣. Dana showed 3♦ 2♥, for trips.
This marks Don’s first victory since Event 7 of Season 18 and his fourth overall. For Dana, it’s her best finish since joining the Syndicate at the start of Season 18.
In 3rd place was Ranjit, earning his first cash of the season. Tom Luu finished 4th, marking his second top-five in just three events. Steve A and Paul R rounded out the money spots in 5th and 6th place, respectively.

The Leaderboard: The top three on the leaderboard remain unchanged, with Robert, Gaby, and Scott N holding their positions. Don Bisco moves up to fourth place following his victory.
