Season 19 • Event 15

Congratulations to Dana the Wizard for taking down event 15! This is Dana’s first win since Event 3 of Season 18 and his eighth victory since joining the Syndicate at the end of Season 7. When heads-up began Dana had about 10-1 chip advantage over Jonkey and it was over pretty quickly when the commish made his final stand with the might 8-2 off. This was Jonkey’s fourth final table in the last six events and best finish since Event 13 of Season 17.

In 3rd place was Pat with his fifth final table and best finish of the season. In 4th place was Farid, who continues his strong run this season as he’s now in 2nd place on the leaderboard. In 5th place, for the second tournament in a row, was Maryanne. This was Maryanne’s fourth top-5 finish of the season and it moves her into 7th place overall. Robert Dean took 5th place to round out our money winners. This was Robert’s eighth final table of the season and moves him into 5th place on the leaderboard.

The Leaderboard We reported a few days ago that it was possible that the Syndicate would be able to award 4 Main Event seats this season. That would have resulted in adjustments to the projected guaranteed and playoff brackets on the leaderboard. However, after getting five cancelations for Event 15, the numbers do not allow us to make this happen. Our rules determine how many Main Event and $1500 seats we award depending on the funds available. So the leaderboard brackets remain the same as we have projected all season.

  • The top 2 players will receive guaranteed Main Event seats (+$500)
  • The next 8 places (3rd to 10th) will receive guaranteed $1500 seats (+ $300)
  • The next 18 places (11th to 29th) will earn a seat at our playoff event on May 3rd
  • The top 5 finishers in the playoff will earn a  $1500 seat (+$300)
  • The top 2 finishers in the playoff will advance to the Main Event final table tournament on May 4. They will join the 8 guaranteed seat players and play for the final Main Event seat.

Remember: anyone that qualifies for the playoff tournament still has a chance to win a Main Event seat!
